2023-Back again and still a fantastic option. The onion rings are really good and they can cook a burger to order! Staff is great, prices are fair!
Fantastic setting, great seafood options and the land lovers also have great options. Impressive beer selections and super friendly staff.
Came back for our 2nd visit, still great. Had the steak tips this time and both the red & white sangria! Staff friendly as ever, location is still epic! I highly recommend!
Came here on a random choice for my birthday and boy was I not disappointed. Started off with the zucchini fries which were super delicious then I got the baked stuffed haddock. Melt in your mouth perfection. The atmosphere was booming with people and the wait staff were phenomenal they checked in several times and were prompt with everything. For sure will make our way back here
Great food, with friendly staff who were very accommodating to helping us with the sun in our eyes. The waitress made sure we were comfortable and went out of her way to lower the sunshade. Beautiful views off the docks while sitting on the deck. I will definitely make a trip back to this restaurant and recommend others do too!
Fantastic stop. First time.
Great reception.
Sat out on deck overlooking the Bay.
Quick service.
Great food.
Reasonably priced.
Frozen quality crab cakes with no sauce. Drinks were skimpy on a Sunday compared to mid week. Very mediocre at best. When I had the salmon, it was very plain and appeared to be cooked from frozen. Just not good food. The fried oysters arent bad, but not sensational./ The quality has gone down. It really turned me off. Probably wont return.
We have been going to BG’s for years. We never minded the fact you are served mediocre food, at absorbent prices on paper plates and with plastic utensils, because it was part of the charm. We are locals to the area and typically the best seafood is served on paper plates and not in pretentious restaurants. Well that charm ends now, after being treated more poorly by the hostess/owner than I have ever been treated by restaurant staff, let alone the owner! We went to celebrate my sisters birthday, please note never have a celebration here, pretty sure it’s against the/her rules. We were a party of 11 (4 being kids). She tried to turn us away immediately because of her 10 or less rule. We then tried all the strategies you will see written about on other reviews. Can we split up into 2 or 3 tables? Answer was no. What if we had come in separately and asked for different tables? Answer was that she now knows we are together so she will not allow us to split up. I felt like I was going crazy with the answers she was giving. She finally allowed us to sit inside (and if you know this place the inside is disgusting and ugly), while we saw the entire side deck empty and parties of 5/6/7 being sat out there. Service was fine once we got out of the principals office (host stand area), but it was about $800 for a party of 11 (4 ordering off the kids menu!!) Not worth the money, especially if it’s going into the hands of the owner who treated us absolutely terribly. She will trick tourists into eating there probably, but can’t imagine this place will retain her local customer base.
Wonderful American Seafood fare. Well seasoned; the batter was light and airy. Nothing extravagant yet everything was satisfying and delicious and the service was great; you will not be disappointed dining at this establishment.🥰 …
All the food was seasoned well. I had the lobster soup. If only I have some big chunks of lobster in it. All I had was tiny seafood at the bottom of the bowl. But other than that was awesome and super friendly.
